Slide and Splash – Lagoa

Just under 10 minutes drive from the apartment is one of the Algarve biggest waterparks open from April until October . A visit to a water park is one of the best family days out, and slide and splash caters for the whole family. There is a recently renovated and extensive children’s area for younger visitors, while adrenalin fans can experience the unknown of the black hole or the new Big Wave. There is also the chance for friends to race each other on the foam slides.

ZooMarine – Guia

Close to Albufeira is Zoomarine the fabulous family marine theme park with dolphins, seals, pirate shows, water slides, wave pool & even a beach. Its always rated on trip advisor as one of the best places to visit on the algarve and the only place in Europe you can interact with dolphins in the water. Zoomarine is all about the natural world and the richness of marine life and oceans. There is a strong conservation and educational message delivered along with plenty of fun. It is one of the best and most reasonably priced attractions on the algarve.

Santa Bernada Pirate Ship

Explore the beautiful Ponta da Piedade caves around Lagos and step back in time in a unique Pirate boat, spotting dolphins along the way. Sail out to where Vasco De Gama began his adventures and enjoy the clear Atlantic waters with a dip in the sea on warmer days. Leaves Portimao daily and be prepared for some pirate fun along the way .

Surfing in Sagres

Once know as being the end of the world, Sagres is a small town which sits at the most South Westerly point in Europe. It has some of the best surfing beaches in Portugal and has multiple beaches which all face different directions which ensures at least one beach will always be suitable for surfing no matter your ability. There are numerous schools offering lessons and courses.

Aqua Shopping Centre

A newly built modern shopping centre just 5 minutes from Oasis Parque, its a beautiful mall with an open air concept. Great selection of shops including Massimo Duti, H&M and Primark as well as shops not found in the UK. There is also a large food court and supermarket. Everything open until 11pm.

Wineries

Wines produced in the Portimao region are of very high quality. The region has the perfect climate for vines, sheltered from northerly winds by the Monchique mountains. There are many producers in the region, many offer visit and tasting. Villa Alvor supplies many of the local restaurants with its beautiful wines, and their vineyard and shop is a few minutes drive from Oasis Parque.

Autodromo International Algarve

Formula 1 makes its return to Portugal since 1996, and its first ever race to the Portimao circuit in October 2020 for the Portuguese Grand Prix. You too could experience the thrill of driving on this world class circuit with one of the many driving experiences they offer or a karting session.
